Ioannisyan on the Incident at Polling Station 9/21

Ioannisyan on the Incident at Polling Station 9/21

At polling station 9/21, not all of the three seals on the ballot box were closed. I called the attention of the head of the electoral commission, who insisted that the seals were closed. This was stated by Daniel Ioannisyan, a representative of the "Independent Observer" alliance.

To prove that the seals were indeed not closed, I opened one of them with two fingers (a closed seal cannot be opened without significant force, it would tear apart). After that, I closed another seal so that it would appear both closed and show what a closed seal looks like.

The head of the electoral commission then covered (not opened, but covered) the seal that I had closed and subsequently, together with the representatives of the "Armenia" alliance, announced that I was the one who opened and covered the seal (all this was aired live on several occasions).

Moreover, just hours earlier, the self-adhesive papers that should have been affixed to the ballot box were not present and were only put in place after our observer's request.

During this time, one of the representatives made a threat of violence against me.
