The Investigation Committee of Armenia's Aragatsotn region is preparing materials regarding the retrieval of a body from the Aparan Reservoir near the inactive "Poghos-Petros" church on June 17, as reported by Shamshyan.com.

On that day, around 3:50 PM, a call was received by the Aparan division of the police, alerting them via the Emergency Situations Ministry's 9-11 operational management center that a citizen had drowned in the specified reservoir.

An emergency worker promptly arrived at the scene, retrieving the body of 41-year-old Edik S., a resident of Artashat. According to preliminary information, he had visited the reservoir with his friend, 34-year-old Sharo H. from the Aragatsotn region, where they consumed alcohol. Afterward, Edik entered the water to swim and subsequently drowned.

The preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert who arrived at the scene indicated that no signs of violence were found on the body.
