VIDEO: Edmon Marukyan's Pre-Election Message

The leader of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction, Edmon Marukyan, has sent a pre-election message titled "Lessons Not Learned from the Conflict of Ruling Houses and the Loss of Statehood." The message states:

“The history of the Armenian people shows that whenever our ruling houses have fought against each other, neglecting external threats, the enemy has taken advantage of this situation to attack our statehood and both the kingdom and the ruling houses have faced decline. Centuries later, the Armenian people regained statehood, and 30 years later, they are again divided into groups that hate each other, struggling against one another, while the enemy benefits from the internal divisions and weaknesses of the Armenian people. Once again, the Armenian people, failing to learn lessons from history, are fighting against each other; the propaganda of hatred and violence has effectively reached its peak.

On June 20, an opportunity has been created to learn from history and put an end to the country's divisions, hatred, the propaganda of violence, and this irreconcilable environment. Dear compatriots, on June 20, go to the polling station, take ballot number 9, and declare that you are in favor of solidarity, unification, and restoring peace within the country. Together, we will form a government of national accord that will lead the country out of this difficult situation towards a path of development. May God protect us all!”
