VIDEO: Serzh Sargsyan Gives Nikol Pashinyan 24 Hours
Former President Serzh Sargsyan announced today that he will present scandalous evidence about Nikol Pashinyan and his family if Pashinyan fails to prove within 24 hours that he visited the Monte Carlo casino.
“For many years, Pashinyan and his team have spread false rumors that I have used money stolen from soldiers in the Monte Carlo casinos. I am giving this immoral person 24 hours; either he must present evidence, or I will release such evidence about him and his family that society will spit on him,” Sargsyan stated, responding to a question during his campaign about why no criminal case has been initiated against him. He recalled Pashinyan's statements regarding the embezzlement of military funds and gambling losses.
Sargsyan noted that during his presidency, he did not act upon such statements because it would undermine the objectivity of the law enforcement agencies under his leadership. “Today, the power structures are under Pashinyan's control. His supporters, who helped him come to power, have the opportunity to find evidence anywhere in the world; let them discover it. And if they do, I will be the last person in this country,” he emphasized.
He also remarked, “He talks nonsense about Baden-Baden without realizing that the casino there has been around since the 19th century.” The former president assured that he has not been to Monte Carlo for the past 15 years.
