Major Car Accident: Driver and Passengers Hospitalized
On June 17, a major car accident occurred in the Syunik province. Around 10:30 PM, the vehicles driven by 39-year-old Edgar Beglaryan and 31-year-old Vache Grigoryan collided on Arzumanyan Street in the city of Kapan.
According to reports from Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the driver of the VAZ, E. Beglaryan, along with his passengers, 16-year-old Angelina B. and 38-year-old Rouzanna K., were transported to the Kapan Medical Center with injuries.
Emergency services arrived swiftly at the scene, including a fire-rescue team from the Syunik Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which consisted of one firefighting unit. Rescuers disconnected the vehicles' electrical systems, secured the gas cylinders, and cordoned off the area.
Officers from the second platoon of the second company of the traffic police, led by platoon commander Gegham Margaryan, also arrived at the scene. Investigative materials are being prepared by investigator Avagyan from the same platoon.
A patrol team from the Kapan police department, led by senior community police inspector Margaryan, also responded to the incident.
