Major Accident-Fire in Yerevan: 63-Year-Old Driver Crashes into Iron Barriers, Injuries Reported
On June 17, a significant accident and fire occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 5:30 PM, a 63-year-old resident of Masis, identified as Vardan Sh., crashed his "Moskvitch 412" vehicle into iron barriers opposite 101/2 Artashat Highway.
According to reports from shamshyan.com, following the collision, a fire broke out in the vehicle, and the driver was transported with bodily injuries to the National Burn Center. Emergency services, including a firefighting and rescue unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, arrived at the scene with one operational unit. Yerevan traffic police also responded.
In connection with the incident, H. Sargsyan is preparing materials, while the vehicle, which has turned into a mound of ash, has been relocated to a specialized storage area managed by the Yerevan Traffic Police at the request of the investigator.
