Ara Abrahamyan Responds to Azerbaijan's International Search Notice
The President of the Union of Armenians in Russia, Ara Abrahamyan, has responded to Azerbaijan’s announcement of an international search warrant against him, stating to the RIA Novosti news agency that he has not yet received any official information regarding this matter. He added that the accusations from Baku are absurd and that he is not afraid of the consequences.
“The Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan can announce anything, it does not concern me. It would be better if they dealt with their criminals who violate human rights in Nagorno-Karabakh. For me, this is laughable, I am innocent, I cannot have issues,” said Ara Abrahamyan, adding that in the case of official information, lawyers will address the issue.
He stated that in such a case, he would appeal to the international court to demand an investigation into Azerbaijan’s military crimes. “I hope that the time will come when they will be held accountable,” noted the President of the Armenian Union.
