Children from Lori to be brought to participate in the CP public rally under the pretext of an excursion

The Electoral Monitoring Committee has received approximately 20 reports since the morning of June 17 regarding cases of coercion to participate in the pre-election rally of the 'Civil Contract' party using administrative resources. This was stated in a message disseminated by the Committee.

'The reports concern both the city of Yerevan and several regions, including schools, kindergartens, state medical institutions, regional administrations, local self-governing bodies, ministries, including the Ministry of Defense and the military police operating within it.

At this time, we find it appropriate to publish two detailed reports:

1) From Lori Province, children will be brought to Yerevan under the pretext of an excursion, and they will be coerced into participating in the CP rally. The vehicles will be parked at Shahumyan Square. At least some of the children's parents are unaware that their children are being prepared to participate in the rally.

2) In Kotayk Province, individuals participating in the gathering were informed that they must gather near the Ministry of Finance building to 'be present' at the event.'
