3-4 Magnitude Earthquake in Armenia
On June 17, at 10:42 AM local time (06:42 AM GMT), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded an earthquake at geographical coordinates of 39.86° North latitude and 45.04° East longitude, 8 km northwest of the village of Yelpin in the Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia, at a depth of 10 km, with a magnitude of 2.7.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone reached 3-4 points. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Lanjarr and Zangakatun in the Ararat Province, registering an intensity of 2-3 points.
