Surena Papikyan Received 11.2 Million in Bonuses During War Year

Surena Papikyan received 11.2 million in bonuses during the war year. This was reported by the Mediaport Telegram channel.

“The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, Surena Papikyan, earned more in bonuses than his salary during the war year of 2020. This is documented in Papikyan's declaration submitted to the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption.

According to the law on the remuneration of state officials, the coefficient for calculating ministers' salary rates is set at 12.00, meaning their monthly salary is 793,680 AMD. Therefore, Surena Papikyan's annual salary amounts to 9,524,160 AMD. In 2020, Papikyan declared 20,792,956 AMD as his work remuneration, thus he was awarded 11,268,796 AMD in bonuses. An official earning around 800,000 AMD in monthly salary awarded himself approximately 1 million AMD in bonuses every month,” the report added.
