Police Ensures Safety of Not Only Pashinyan but Other Candidates as Well

The police are ensuring the safety of not only Nikol Pashinyan but also other candidates. This was stated by Deputy Chief of the Police Ara Fidanyan during a press conference today, responding to journalists' questions regarding the use of administrative resources by the press.

"The police are carrying out their duty, their work. A preliminary assessment is conducted in each case related to public safety. By the way, you mentioned a specific individual, but we have received similar requests from other forces as well, and we are properly providing escort and security," he said.

According to Fidanyan, the number of police officers and vehicles accompanying a candidate is determined based on the results of a security assessment.

It should be noted that the pre-election campaign in Armenia is taking place from June 7 to 18. The parliamentary snap elections are scheduled for June 20.
