Parliamentary Session Fails to Convene Again
The regular session of the National Assembly of Armenia failed to convene due to a lack of quorum. Only 10 members registered for the session. The chairperson Lena Nazaryan announced that there was no quorum, which, according to the constitutional law governing the National Assembly, means that registration will continue until the necessary number of members register, but no longer than 4 hours.
The political forces represented in parliament are primarily engaged in election campaigning. In Armenia, the campaign for the snap parliamentary elections started on June 7 and will continue until June 18. The elections are scheduled to be held on June 20.
