New Buses to Operate on Two Routes Starting Tomorrow

The Yerevan municipality has announced that starting June 17, new compact-class buses will resume operation on route 46, while the new route 22 will be launched for the first time.

The services for these routes will operate with 8 and 2 units of vehicles respectively, from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM along the following paths:

Route 22: SPANDARYAN STATION - HAT (Spandaryan Station - Silikian 4th and 10th Streets - Silikian New Highway - Shiraz - G. Hasratyan - Sebastia - Raffi Streets - HAT (intersection of Raffi - Zoravar Andranik streets))

Route 46: NAZARB EKYAN DISTRICT - SRB. GRIGOR LUSAVORICH CHURCH (Nazarbekyan District (44/10, church point) - Silikian New Highway - Shiraz - Janibekyan - Abelian - Builders - Arzumanyan - Halabyan - Kievyan Streets - Marshal Baghramyan - Mashtots - Gr. Lusavorich - Agatangelos - Khanchyan - Vardanants - E. Kocharyan Streets - Sr. Gr. Lusavorich Church)

The return journey follows the same route until Janibekyan, and then continues through Bashinjaghyan and Mazmanyan Streets, maintaining the same course.

The municipality reminds passengers that payment is required upon boarding. The coin machine will only accept 100 dram coins. If passengers do not have 100 dram coins, the driver may make change initially, but it is highly desirable to have 100 dram coins. An electronic payment system will be implemented soon.

For safety considerations, the bus interior is monitored. Drivers will be in special uniforms and are instructed not to smoke or use their phones while driving,” stated the municipality's press release.
