Narek Sargsyan Sentenced to 3.6 Years in Prison

The General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan has just announced the verdict in the case of Narek Sargsyan, the nephew of former President Serzh Sargsyan.

According to the verdict, Narek Sargsyan was sentenced to a total of 5.5 years in prison, with a final sentence of 3 years and 6 months imposed. He stated in court that he accepts the charges against him.

It is worth reminding that the prosecutor had requested a 7-year prison term for Sargsyan.

Narek Sargsyan has been accused of illegally possessing weapons and ammunition, engaging in the illegal trafficking of large quantities of narcotics, and organizing the kidnapping of a person.
