25 Tonnes of Wheat Spilled on Road After Kamaz Truck Overturns
Today, June 16, a significant road accident occurred in the Aragatsotn Province. Around 08:30, a Kamaz truck with Russian license plates overturned under still unspecified circumstances on the Yerevan-Vanadzor highway at the 58 km mark while heading towards Yerevan, blocking the road.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver was transported to the Aparan Medical Center for medical examination following the incident.
Shamshyan reports that the Kamaz was towing a trailer containing approximately 25 tonnes of wheat, which spilled onto the road, covering nearly 200 meters.
Senior investigators Hayk Vardanyan and Vahagn Eloyan from the 2nd division of the traffic police have also arrived at the scene. Investigative materials are being prepared by V. Eloyan regarding the incident. The police are currently determining the identity of the driver.
