Those Who Steal from the People Are Trying to Set Syunik Against Armenia: Syunik is as Much Armenia as Yerevan, Says Pashinyan

The head of the electoral list of the Civil Contract party and Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a meeting with residents of the Sisian community in the Syunik region that certain circles are trying to set Syunik against Armenia and persuade citizens that Syunik and Armenia are different entities.

Pashinyan emphasized that he would not allow such developments to take place. "Representatives from all regions and cities of Armenia have come to Syunik today because those who steal from the people like a muscle are trying to set Syunik against Armenia, suggesting that, allegedly, Syunik and Armenia are different things. No. They are doing this under the well-known motto 'divide and conquer' for their few pennies. We say no, Armenia is one and united, and it is strong through unity," Pashinyan stressed.

According to the Acting Prime Minister, Syunik is as much Armenia as Yerevan, Gyumri, and Tavush. "We will break every hand that tries to oppose Syunik to the rest of Armenia," Pashinyan concluded.
