Stepanakert Resident Injured by Explosive Munitions

The Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that on June 13 at 11:55 AM, a notification was received from the Republican Medical Center that a local resident, H. D. (born in 1944), was admitted with gunshot, shrapnel wounds to the right lower limb and a fractured edge of the femur around 10:30 AM on the same day.

Investigations revealed that H. D. discovered an unidentified explosive device in the administrative area of the village of Khndzoresk in the Askeran region in early June and transported it to his workshop at the specified address. It was during the process of extracting metal from the munitions with an angle grinder around 9:30 AM on June 13 that the device exploded, resulting in injuries from the shrapnel.

Expert examinations have been ordered, and the investigation is being conducted by the Stepanakert City Police Department.

Attention: The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh urges all citizens to immediately report any unknown objects or explosive materials they encounter to the police or the Territorial Division of Emergency Situations, or to call the numbers 102 or 911 to avoid unfortunate incidents.
