SATM Clarifies Presence of Heineken with Azerbaijani Flags in Armenian Market
Images of Heineken beer featuring the Azerbaijani flag have circulated on social media and in media outlets since yesterday evening. The State Food Safety Service (SATM) has addressed this issue.
Heineken is an official partner of the Euro 2020 football tournament, which is why the flags of all the countries hosting Euro 2020 matches have been printed on the bottles of this brand of beer.
According to SATM's investigation, this batch of Heineken was produced in the Russian Federation and imported into Armenia in full compliance with the regulations set forth by the Eurasian Economic Union and the requirements of our national legislation.
