Major Car Accident in Kotayk Province: Mercedes and Fiat Collide, the Latter Turns Over
Today, on June 14, a major car accident occurred in Kotayk Province. Around 02:30, on the 3rd km of the Yerevan-Ashtarak highway, a collision took place between a Mercedes vehicle driven by 33-year-old Emil Mirzoyan and a Fiat vehicle driven by 35-year-old Mikael Muradyan, both residents of Yerevan.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, Emil Mirzoyan's passenger, 30-year-old M.S., the Fiat driver Mikael Muradyan, and his passengers: 33-year-old Gor H., 36-year-old M. Q., 40-year-old H. H., 21-year-old H. K., and 33-year-old M. M. all sustained injuries and were transported to the Armenia Medical Center.
Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene, including one firefighting unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Additionally, officers from the 3rd platoon of the 2nd police company of the Traffic Police swiftly arrived, led by platoon commander Arthur Petrosyan and squad commander Tigran Kotanjyan.
The investigative work at the site was overseen by senior investigator Mayis Badoyan from the same platoon, who is preparing materials regarding the incident.
Photographer reports indicate that as a result of the collision, the vehicles left the roadway, and the Fiat overturned. Firefighters disconnected the vehicles' batteries, closed the gas cylinders, and secured the area.
