These authorities have been and remain oppositional to the state, army, their own people, and themselves. Seyran Ohanyan
Overall, the problems facing the country on the international stage require our authorities to work with every country and utilize every force and direction to protect our interests. This was stated by Seyran Ohanyan, a member of the "Armenia" coalition, during a conversation with reporters.
"In my perspective, Georgia is our neighbor with whom we have brotherly, friendly relations. Those mined areas are no longer under our control; they are deep behind enemy lines for Azerbaijan. I am not part of those agreements and cannot comment on them. In our region, if we arrange our relations as a Christian nation in a cruciform manner, the vertical arrangement of Russia, Georgia, Armenia, and Iran is the most favorable for us. If clashes occur in this direction (Georgia-Russia, Iran-West), they evidently affect our country’s internal and external policies. The other direction is a detrimental one—Turkey-Armenia-Azerbaijan; there is no connection there today. We need to restore the significant role of our region, and our coalition leader has the capabilities for us to also have a significant role in improving relations with our neighboring, friendly countries. I see nothing extraordinary," he said.
He added that if the authorities understood what state governance means, military governance, and who the officials of this state are, they would answer about who directed the operations in Shushi and the combat actions by their orders and instructions.
"I have not held any state or military position since October 3, 2016, and I do not hold one now. I have heard that commanders have been forced to have their personnel vote for the elections during the elections. In other words, to promote before the elections. This is unacceptable; it is a blatant violation of the existing constitutional laws and order, and their removal from office is also an infringement of the law. I can say it is a crime against their own army and against the commander of the unit in their own army, and for this, they will have to answer because those unit commanders are experienced. At least I have seen one of them, Commander Mehrab, during combat operations in the Martakert region, and for the combat mission he fulfilled, I embraced him tightly and kissed him, saying that since I am not a state official now, I have no other way to express my appreciation than through this embrace. Thank you," he concluded.
These authorities have been and are oppositional to the state, the army, their own people, and themselves. They need to leave; they should leave and play the opposition role," he said.
