I am shocked that we have generals in the army who have served for over 20 years and do not have housing, says Pashinyan
During a rally in Abovyan, Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated, "I am shocked that there are generals in our army who do not have housing. Is this our security? A general should not have a housing issue. Citizens should gladly pay taxes, thinking that it will be used for their needs." He added, "In the near future, we plan to completely transform our armed forces and build 500 kindergartens."
Addressing the situation on the borders, Pashinyan mentioned that they have proposed a scenario where troops would withdraw in a mirrored manner, Russian peacekeepers would be deployed, and under international auspices, border demarcation and delimitation would occur. "Regarding the issue of Artsakh, we will also reach a final settlement to start an era of peace. And we seek a mandate from you to implement all this," he said.
Pashinyan also announced the organization of rallies on June 18 and 21 in Republic Square.
