Putin Denies Russia's Willingness to Sell Satellites to Iran

The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has labeled as absurd the claims that Russia is prepared to sell satellite systems to Iran, which are allegedly intended to assist Tehran in pursuing military targets. This was reported by RT.

“This is fake news. At least, I know nothing about it. Those who speak about it probably know more. This is absurdity and nonsense,” Putin said in an interview with NBC.

At the same time, he added that Russia does indeed have “cooperation programs with Iran, including in military and technical areas.” Earlier, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, announced that a new round of negotiations on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) regarding Iran's nuclear program would take place this week.
