Brutal Murder in Artashat: 21-Year-Old Man Inflicts Multiple Stab Wounds on Victim

A brutal murder occurred today in the Ararat region. Around 3:15 PM, the Artashat Medical Center reported to the Artashat police division that a group of on-call doctors had been dispatched to a residence on Ghukasyan Street in Artashat, where they transported a woman with multiple stab wounds to the hospital. Unfortunately, she lost consciousness shortly after and died.

According to shamshyan.com from the crime scene, police and investigators identified the victim as 59-year-old Nune N., a resident of the third house on Ghukasyan Street in Artashat, who was transported from her home. While the forensic expert was examining the body, police and investigators, following fresh leads, discovered and apprehended 21-year-old Karen M. approximately 1.5-2 kilometers away from the murder scene, in a field area, on suspicion of committing the murder.

It has been determined that the murder took place in Nune N.’s kitchen, where traces of blood were also found. A criminal case has been initiated based on Article 104, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. According to G. Shamshyan, the murder weapon, a knife, has also been discovered. Following the decision of N. Aivazyan, Karen M. has been arrested as a suspect.
