We Are Not a Weak Government, No Other Authority Would Have Endured What We Have Passed Through: Pashinyan

We have faced many different accusations and been blamed for various things, but I want to say that the most absurd accusation is that we are a weak government. In reality, we are not a weak government, and the proof of that is that no authority would have endured what we have passed through.

This was stated by Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting with residents of Achajur.

“Of course, we understand that we have endured thanks to you, and there is no exaggeration in this, only thanks to you. However, the question is why we have not been as tough as you might expect from us. There is a simple reason: during the 2018 revolution, we stood in front of you and said that this is a revolution of love and solidarity. Yes, there have been cases when we have thought that we cannot continue as such, and we had to act differently, but we did not go down that path for two reasons.

The first is that we had a promise made to you. Yes, maybe we were emotional at that time, and we did not realize all the nuances of the promise made to you, and you did not realize it either, but what is said is said, a condition is a condition. The second reason is to establish an institutional system in the country. It is the worst thing when people are judged or released based on personal decisions. It is the worst thing because one cannot place hope on individuals; hope must be placed on institutions. And we have followed that path, and the path of institutional establishment is a very long one,” he said.
