VIDEO: Upon Seeing the Police, They Threw the Bribe Money into the Yard
On June 10, officers from the Chief Directorate of the National Police, the Armavir Regional Police, and the Armavir Division received information that the former mayor of Armavir, who is on the electoral list of an alliance participating in the snap parliamentary elections scheduled for June 20, was preparing to transfer 9 million drams to a 54-year-old resident of the village of Janfida to secure votes in favor of one of the alliances and distribute bribes among the residents of the village.
Thanks to the measures taken by the police, the former mayor of Armavir and the resident of Janfida were caught during the transfer of the 9 million dram bribe and were taken into custody. They were arrested as part of a criminal case that was initiated.
Upon seeing the police officers, they threw the money, which was considered to be the bribe, wrapped in a polyethylene bag, into the yard of a house. The money was discovered and seized during the investigation of the scene. The circumstances are being clarified.
