Vagharshak Harutyunyan Briefed on Results of Inspections and Studies in Armed Forces
The Acting Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, held a meeting on June 10 with the leadership of the Internal Audit Department of the Ministry of Defense. The head of the department, Grigor Aramyan, reported to the minister on the results of inspections carried out within the armed forces and studies conducted in military units. He also presented the timeline for anti-corruption measures being implemented in the Ministry of Defense and military units, as well as the recorded violations.

Vagharshak Harutyunyan emphasized the need for efforts aimed at eliminating corruption manifestations in the armed forces, as well as the necessity of improving the transparency and efficiency of procurement and supply processes.
The Acting Minister of Defense also met with the personnel of the Internal Investigations Department. During the meeting, reports were made on violations recorded in the armed forces during the first half of 2021 and the progress of investigations being conducted.
Vagharshak Harutyunyan gave instructions for more thorough implementation of the studies and for uncovering all existing deficiencies.
