Prosecutor's Office Sends Ara Aivazyan's Resignation Video to NSS

The Prosecutor's Office of Armenia has sent the video of former Foreign Minister Ara Aivazyan's statement regarding the reasons for his resignation to the National Security Service (NSS) to verify the circumstances presented and resolve the matter.

This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office in response to a written inquiry from NEWS.am.

According to sources from the Prosecutor's Office, a video of Ara Aivazyan's meeting with the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which took place on May 31, was discovered as a result of ongoing monitoring of mass media and social networks. The video was subsequently forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office on June 1 for verification of the circumstances and resolution of the matter.

It is worth noting that Ara Aivazyan, during his speech at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 31, stated his reasons for resigning: "...to ensure that there is never any doubt that this ministry might take some step or give consent to some ideas or initiatives that have been against our statehood, our national and state interests."
