I Have Serious Doubts That Yes, Shushi Was Deliberately Surrendered: Robert Kocharyan

The second President of Armenia and candidate for Prime Minister from the "Armenia" alliance, Robert Kocharyan, stated during a meeting in Talin today that he has serious doubts that Shushi was deliberately surrendered.

"The most painful part is that they entered Shushi without any equipment, coming from Hadrut through the forests, reaching Shushi in pickup trucks. The doubts arise from why they were not stopped anywhere along that entire route; there was an opportunity to do so. For this reason, people have legitimate doubts that there was a deal in which Shushi was surrendered. I have that legitimate doubt. And the talk about the 5 billion is not just an empty conversation. There has indeed been such an offer, such a recording has sounded, and an offer was also made to this government. Only after this regime change will it become clear what actually happened. I have very big doubts that yes, Shushi was deliberately surrendered," Kocharyan declared.
