Gor Vardanyan's Appeal to Nikol Pashinyan

Today, I was following Nikol Pashinyan’s so-called campaign speech and could not remain silent. Nikol Pashinyan, you are currently exercising the powers of the temporary Prime Minister of the country, which means you are acting in the name of the country’s leader. I heard your speech about vendettas; do you not understand that you are calling for division among the people, for vengeance, for hostility, and that this is fraught with dangerous consequences? What do you want, clashes, a civil war? Who gave you the right to pit people against each other?

Instead of talking about vendettas in your campaign, talk about how you plan to pull the country out of this situation, not about revenge and an ideal country. This is the country where military funerals are still being organized. If you are talking about vendettas and you are so brave, take your revenge on Aliyev and the Azerbaijani soldiers who are currently at the borders of Armenia, capturing our unarmed defenders.

I appeal to you, Nikol Pashinyan: do not try to pit Armenians against each other; this will have very negative repercussions on our nation. I appeal to those who stand beside Nikol Pashinyan: guys, we are Armenians; we have no right to allow civil clashes. You are next to this person; explain it to him, make him understand that he should not turn the nation against each other and shed blood.

I call upon all esteemed figures from culture, sport, and the arts: unite and voice your concerns. You have all stepped aside; do you not understand that the country stands on the brink of serious civil war? Enough of the casualties we have; we are a small nation; we have no right to turn against each other. Call for unity among the people.
