Will There Be a Second Round of Elections? 'Hraparak'
The ruling team believes that a second round of elections is inevitable. Neither their party, the 'Political Contract,' will be able to collect 50+1 votes, nor will the other parties that have entered the parliament succeed in winning and forming a coalition government.
According to the Electoral Code, there is a six-day period to form a coalition. If a coalition of a maximum of three parties, which has 54 percent of the seats, cannot be formed within six days after the elections, then a second round of elections will be held. The second round of parliamentary elections is conducted on the 28th day after the voting day according to the Electoral Code.
The two parties (or party alliances) that receive the most votes will participate in the second round of the elections. This means that the names of the two parties that occupy the first two positions will be written on the ballot. The party that receives the most votes in that election will automatically have its votes increased to achieve a stable majority of 54 percent in the parliament.
