Today I See More Opportunity to Resolve the Artsakh Issue as We Desire: Pashinyan

The acting Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, who is also a candidate from the "Civil Contract" party, stated that he sees greater opportunities to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh issue in accordance with the Armenian side's perspectives today than, for example, four years ago. Pashinyan made this remark during a campaign meeting with residents of the Aragatzavan village in the Aragatsotn province.

He acknowledged that he might be saying something strange at first glance. However, he emphasized that he knows what he is talking about. The issue, he explained, is that due to certain circumstances, he cannot disclose details.

Based on the same circumstances, Pashinyan could not unveil the details of the negotiation process in 2018 or 2019. "I can only say that there has been a recognition of the necessity to restore the negotiation process to clarify the final status of Nagorno-Karabakh within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship. We believe that, after all these events, the opportunities to implement the formula of 'separation for salvation' have significantly increased. We need to work consistently in this direction," stated the acting Prime Minister.
