Seiran Ohanyan Discusses Conditions for Rapid Army Recovery

It is impossible to regulate the border in three years as effectively as in 27 years. This was stated by the former Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seiran Ohanyan, during a conversation with journalists.

Commenting on the statements made by the acting Prime Minister and his team against the "former ones" and claims that the armament and regulation mostly fell to the last three years, Ohanyan said: "In 2016, at his request, I received Pashinyan. He came to my office and asked how it happened that after the April war, the front line was better regulated than before. I called the number of the Commander of the Defense Army in his presence and asked how many kilometers the anti-tank fortifications had been established. Out of 483 kilometers, only 6.7 kilometers of new positions had been restored."

"If they don’t believe us, they should listen to what his friend Aliyev says. Standing in Aghdam, Aliyev says how solidly the Armenians have built their fortifications," emphasized Ohanyan.

"The army has existed and exists. If they are not in power, the army will recover quickly," concluded the former minister.
