‘Rumors are circulating that as soon as you become Prime Minister, you will return Surik Khachatryan to Syunik’ - Goris resident to Kocharyan

During the election campaign of the ‘Armenia’ alliance in Syunik today, a question was raised to the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, by citizens: ‘Rumors are circulating in Goris that as soon as you become Prime Minister, you will return Surik Khachatryan to Syunik and will appoint him as the governor again.’

‘First of all, you have a good sense of humor,’ replied Kocharyan. ‘At any rate, I can say that there is no such person on our list. Our alliance is composed of two parties and independent teammates. One of those entities is the ‘Revival of Armenia’ party, and do you really think that this party does not have enough human resources to propose someone who will be the governor here and take responsibility for the development of this area? That’s how it will be,’ noted Kocharyan.
