I Told the Relative of a Captive 'Your Loved One Will Be Here Tomorrow,' But It Did Not Happen and It Has Been a Lesson for Me: Pashinyan
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is in the Aragatsotn region.
“Since yesterday, our opposition has been exploiting the fact that I said, ‘Our captives will forgive us for returning one or two months late, but they will not forgive disproportionate concessions in the interest of Armenia,’” he announced in Aragatsavan.
He emphasized that even if our captives had been returned two months ago, they would still have been returned one or two months late. “Do you understand? All those who were returned in April were returned at least one or two months late, and I have always told the relatives of the captives during our meetings that I will never lie to you. There has only been one case when I told a family member of a captive, ‘Your loved one will be here tomorrow,’ and there were all the assurances, but it did not happen, and that has been a lesson for me not to give a timeframe again, no matter how difficult it is,” he said.
