Citizens Who Establish Permanent Residency in Artsakh Will Receive Housing from the State

The President of the Artsakh Republic, Arayik Harutyunyan, held another meeting with the heads of communities from the Kashatagh region in Yerevan on June 8. This was reported by the press service of the Artsakh President.

The country's leader noted that the issues of displaced residents are under the attention of the Artsakh government, and the purpose of these traditional meetings is to identify all problems in a timely manner and attempt to offer operational solutions within the limits of existing capabilities.

Addressing the issue of compensation for lost movable and immovable property through joint efforts of the governments of Armenia and Artsakh, President Harutyunyan stated that a commission has been established to assess the scope of these losses. The state will provide not only certain financial assistance but also a certificate for debt repayment, which will ensure a certain financial income through annual interest until the designated timeline ends.

Arayik Harutyunyan emphasized that the return of all displaced citizens to Artsakh remains a priority for the Government. Families that establish permanent residency in Artsakh will be provided with housing, relevant property, and necessary support for engaging in economic activities.

During the meeting, President Harutyunyan inquired about the issues faced by Kashatagh residents who had found refuge in Armenia, listened to proposals aimed at addressing these problems, and answered their questions of interest.
