Extraordinary Incident in Yerevan: Woman's Body Retrieved from Yerevan Lake
Today, on June 6, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 09:00, the Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue service received a call at the 911 operational management center, reporting that there was a body in the Yerevan Lake and that rescuers were needed to retrieve it.
According to Shamshyan.com from the scene, diver Harutyun Harutyunyan and his team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations successfully brought the body out of the lake using specialized ropes, and it was in a partially decayed state.
Under the leadership of Sos Hovsepyan, the head of the Shengavit division of the police’s juvenile affairs department, officers are working to determine the identity of the deceased. Meanwhile, a group from the Yerevan investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia is also operating at the scene.
