Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs Submit Resignation Letters and Refuse to Attend Government Meeting

Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs Artak Apitonian, Avet Adonts, and Armen Ghahondyan have submitted their resignation letters. According to a Telegram channel, Prime Minister Pashinyan has already received the resignations from the deputy ministers.

Since early morning, the government has attempted to persuade the deputy ministers to withdraw their resignation letters and send a representative to the government meeting, but they have declined.

The chair representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains empty. On May 31, the news of the resignation of Deputy Minister Gagik Ghalaçyan was officially confirmed.

It is worth noting that the underlying reason for the unrest within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the direct communication between Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev, which has led Pashinyan to make statements aligned with Azerbaijan's interests without even informing the Foreign Ministry. He has promised to sign documents with anti-Armenian content, reiterating themes from Azerbaijani propaganda.

Auroranews has sent a written inquiry to the ministry to confirm this information.
