Azerbaijan President's Chief Advisor Removed from Position
Arthur Aghabekyan has been relieved of his duties as the chief advisor to the President of Artsakh. This information was confirmed to Factinfo by the press secretary of the President of Artsakh, Lusine Avanesyan.
According to her, Aghabekyan will continue to work on a voluntary basis. The press secretary of the President of Artsakh noted that she cannot provide any details regarding the reasons behind this decision.
It is important to mention that Arthur Aghabekyan was appointed as the chief advisor to the President of Artsakh on June 8, 2020. He served as the Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia from 2000 to 2007. Aghabekyan is a national hero of Artsakh and has previously held the position of Deputy Prime Minister of Artsakh.
