Candidate of the Civil Contract Party Does Not Meet Requirements: Electoral Monitoring Committee

The Electoral Monitoring Committee has revealed substantiated information through its ongoing online monitoring, indicating that the candidate for the National Assembly from the Civil Contract Party, Tigran Davoyan, is a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran and does not meet the constitutional requirement of being a citizen of the Republic of Armenia for the last four years.

This was reported by the Electoral Monitoring Committee.

In this regard, the Committee has sent a legal inquiry to Suren Papikyan, the head of the Civil Contract Party’s board, requesting a copy of the document confirming the termination of T. Davoyan's Iranian citizenship.
