Azerbaijan Denies Presence of Azerbaijani Soldiers' Bodies in Armenian Mortuaries

There are no bodies of Azerbaijani soldiers in Armenian mortuaries. This was stated in a joint announcement by the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan and the State Security Service, as reported by minval.az.

“On June 2, false claims appeared in the Armenian media that some bodies in Armenian mortuaries might belong to Azerbaijani soldiers. In this regard, we declare that among the unidentified bodies in the mortuaries under the Ministry of Health of Armenia, there are none belonging to the servicemen of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces,” the announcement read.

It is recalled that on June 2, Armenia's Acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan did not rule out that among the poorly preserved bodies in the mortuaries, there might be bodies of Azerbaijanis as well.
