A Criminal Case Initiated at the Artsakh Prosecutor's Office Regarding Azerbaijan's Military Advancement Facilitation

A criminal case has been initiated concerning the alleged criminal acts of facilitating the movement of the Azerbaijan Armed Forces during the war, including pre-arranging routes and organizing the abandonment of combat positions by individuals defending the borders of Artsakh. This information was reported by the Artsakh Prosecutor's Office, adding that the case was opened based on a complaint submitted on February 15.

"Measures are being taken in relation to the movement and route of the Azerbaijan Armed Forces during the war, clarifying the involvement of the personnel and commanders of the Artsakh Defense Army in combat operations, and the issuance of orders to these individuals to abandon their combat positions. The investigative body is awaiting responses to inquiries directed to various state bodies, after which several interrogations will be conducted," the Prosecutor's Office stated.

The initiated criminal case has been sent to the Artsakh Investigative Committee for further investigation. It is also mentioned that the law enforcement bodies of Artsakh are operating under heavy workloads (as pre-trial criminal proceedings were initiated in connection with crimes committed in 2020 in 2021), which has led to a certain slowdown in the investigations of criminal cases.
