Will the Gas Tariff Change? The Regulatory Commission Provides Clarifications

The Public Services Regulatory Commission has not received a request for revising the gas tariff. This was stated by the commission's president Garegin Baghramyan in a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly.

Baghramyan first announced that the gas import contract has been extended until July. After that, a new contract is to be established.

“Regardless of what is negotiated and what price is established at the border, there is a clear procedure for changing tariffs for end consumers. Either the commission must initiate a tariff revision on its own, or there must be a request for tariff revision. According to the law, at least 80 working days are designated for discussions related to this known study. Once the discussions are completed, the established tariffs come into effect 30 days later. At this moment, we do not have a request for tariff revision,” said Baghramyan.
