What Instructions Did Vagharshak Harutyunyan Receive in Moscow?
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that Ara Aivazyan's resignation was as much matured as it was unexpected. According to sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aivazyan decided not to submit his resignation until the elections, but the process accelerated, and he chose not to wait for 20 days, as the Ministry was either deliberately or inadvertently sidelined and became involved in actions that were unfavorable to Armenia.
During the session of the Security Council, Prime Minister Pashinyan’s proposal to deploy international observers at the border to the OSCE Minsk Group has prompted Russia to take active measures. Russia has taken control of the situation, resorting to forceful methods. The Russian side is concerned that other peacekeepers may be deployed in Armenia. It is no coincidence that Aivazyan's resignation followed Vagharshak Harutyunyan's visit to Moscow. What instructions Harutyunyan received in Moscow remains unclear, but in recent days, Russian peacekeepers have been observed near the Gegharkunik border.
