Russia Has Sent a Representative for Negotiations, During Which We Have New Captives, Says Avagyan

Russia has dispatched an individual for negotiations, who has been conducting discussions on delineation for two weeks, while we see that new captives are being taken as a result. This was stated by Boris Avagyan, the former deputy director of the Emergency Situations Department of Artsakh, during a conversation with journalists.

It is noteworthy that at this moment, the relatives of servicemen are gathered near the Russian embassy, demanding the return of the captives.

Boris Avagyan mentioned during the interview that a different general from the Ministry of Defense and the director of the National Security Service, Armen Abazyan, should have been sent to negotiate regarding the captives. “Armen Abazyan invited me and said that if he could assist in any way with the operations that would facilitate the return of the children, he would do it. This was a very patriotic step, and I was astonished. The Azerbaijani side sent Sultanov for negotiations with Russia, who is Aliyev's right hand. The Azerbaijani side is preparing seriously for these negotiations, while our side sent some people who haven’t even managed to address the delineation issue in two weeks,” stated Boris Avagyan.

He also referred to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement about signing a favorable document for the Armenian side, noting that a very good document is one that ensures the return of the captives after signing.
