No State Fee for Marriage Registration Anymore
No state fee will be charged for marriage registration anymore. This was stated by Lusine Martirosyan, the head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, on her Facebook page.
“Previously, if a couple wanted to register their marriage, they had to approach the territorial body of the Civil Registry Agency ten days in advance, submit an application, pay a state fee of 1000 AMD, and only after ten days could they register their marriage. In the case of registering a marriage involving a foreign citizen, the state had set an extra-budget payment for conducting the registration earlier than ten days, for example, 150,000 AMD for performing the registration within one to two working days. The Ministry of Justice has reduced these deadlines as a result of reforms, and the state fee has been completely eliminated,” wrote Martirosyan.
