Why Is There No Legal Evaluation Given to What Exists? The Union of Reserve Officers of the NSS on the Conditions of Body Storage

“The improper storage of bodies and remains has been my oversight,” confessed the Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, under apparent public pressure. Recently, she was awarded the first-degree medal for “services rendered to the homeland.” Clearly, her exceptional contributions have been acknowledged by her superiors, even regarding this oversight.

The minister has gone beyond just admitting her fault by initiating an internal investigation into the conditions at the forensic medicine center's branch in Abovyan that handles body storage. Naturally, such a step seems motivated by evident public pressure, especially considering the bodies have been at this location for quite some time now.

To those who are late to the conversation, we have a simple question: why is there no legal evaluation given to what exists? To the desecrators attempting to evade accountability through an internal investigation, we want to ask a straightforward question—how do you swallow all of this? How do you sleep at night? How do you reconcile this with God?
