We Plan to Create a New Political Party with Our Team and Mane Tandilyan. Mesrop Arakelyan

Former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Arakelyan, in an interview with 24TV today, addressed his resignation and upcoming elections, stating: "There were no disagreements in my work with the government; I have had normal professional and personal relationships. I have been a member of the political council of the Arakelyan Party for nearly 10 years. Our party participated in the elections in 2013, and in 2018 we joined the CPP and participated in elections. Now, together with our political team and Mane Tandilyan, we plan to create a new political party because we have common ideas about the country's development."

When asked why they are not participating in the elections with the current authorities, he replied: "In this situation, after the war, priorities have changed, and unfortunately, the current priorities, which will be crucial for Armenia in the coming years, need to be reassessed. The forthcoming parliamentary elections, unfortunately, are already taking place against a backdrop of mutual accusations; therefore, regardless of the outcome, we will not see significant developments in the coming years. Besides, parliamentary elections are not the only mechanism for serving the homeland; there may be alternative ways to support that will allow us to reinterpret the mistakes accumulated over decades."
