President's Message Dedicated to June 1st

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has sent a message on the occasion of the International Day for the Protection of Children.

As reported by the Public Relations Department of the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia, the message states:

“Dear children,
Today is the official day of protecting your childhood. But it primarily serves as a reminder for us adults that our efforts to protect you and your childhood will be in vain if our homeland — our borders, our country, our home, our yard — is not peaceful and secure. Only in such a homeland can you realize the dreams of yourselves, your parents, and your grandparents.

Dear parents,
Children are the most sincere and hopeful part of our society. They sincerely believe and trust you — their parents, their family; they joyfully celebrate even the smallest successes and move forward with genuine hope and trust, even when they are just learning to walk... We have no right to undermine their innate sincerity in any way. Moreover, with our attention, care, love, and warmth, we must be responsible and committed to ensuring that their faith is never compromised, that hope is never lost, and that trust is never shaken. In this way, we will strengthen the foundations of our country; this is how we will educate a generation that will believe in itself, believing that Armenia's tomorrow depends on them.

Dear children,
I believe that you will make our country a much better place. I believe and wish that your childhood will be a time for dreaming peacefully and securely in the homeland, living healthily and prosperously. I wish that in your future lives you may live in a world where dreams become reality, a world that will become so thanks to your thoughts, ideas, and efforts.”
