Negotiations on the Return of Prisoners Have Practically Stopped: Details

The border situation remains unchanged, and negotiations are underway for Azerbaijani armed forces to withdraw. This was stated by Aram Hakobyan, the Deputy Director of the National Security Service, during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly regarding the border situation.

“At this moment, the situation is the same as it was before. Negotiations are underway for them to withdraw. During this time, it will be determined what will happen to the border situation,” said the Deputy Director of the National Security Service.

Regarding the steps being taken for the return of the prisoners, he stated, “Work is being done around the clock for their return.” The discussion includes both the six soldiers who were recently captured and other prisoners.

When asked what will follow, he said that the issue will be resolved through negotiations. “We must try to return our prisoners based on the outcome of the negotiations. The negotiations have practically stopped, but they are working together via contacts,” he noted without elaborating on who is involved.
