Cooperation with Those Who Led the Country to This Situation is Absolutely Excluded: Kocharyan
The second president, Robert Kocharyan, gave an interview to РБК, addressing the second Nagorno-Karabakh war, Armenia's borders, and the internal situation in the country, as well as the mistakes made by the current authorities.
Speaking about his return to politics, Kocharyan described it as "noisy," reminding of the economic successes and accumulated experience during his years in power. He expressed confidence that after the elections on June 20, Nikol Pashinyan would not be able to form a government, yet would still be represented in parliament, which he finds astonishing.
"Nevertheless, he will lose power, and only then the new authorities will be able to show society the real results of this government's work. A portion of the population continues to be under the influence of the manipulative technologies of these authorities; I have no other explanation," said the former president, categorically excluding any possibility of cooperation with Pashinyan's team or former supporters.
"Cooperation with those who led the country to this situation is absolutely excluded. It is simply impossible," Kocharyan emphasized. He also mentioned that the parliamentary form of governance is not suitable for Armenia and that the prime minister should not have so many powers.
